I don't know if this is what you intended or not, but the focus of the camera is on the grass, not the flower. So with the title "How could I have been so blind" it seems to imply that the beauty of the grass has been overlooked until now in favor of the more obvious beauty of the flower. I like that idea, intentional or not. :0) That being said, I like the shot of the flower out of focus, a spot of color against the earthier tones around it.
reminds me of monet's waterlillies, almost a painting, beautiful.
